At AnytimeFarma, we list out 10 little known facts about CBD.

Both Hemp and Marijuana Contain Cannabis

It is a myth that CBD can be extracted from a specific type of cannabis plant. In truth, CBD is found in both marijuana and hemp. However, marijuana has a higher volume of THC compared to CBD. In contrast, hemp has a higher amount of CBD and only trace amounts of THC.

That said, not all versions of the hemp plant contain equal amounts of CBD. The strains of the hemp plant used to make CBD oil generally contain a much higher concentration of CBD than those used for other hemp products like fiber.

Marijuana Plants Also Have High CBD Strains

Marijuana growers can cross-breed different strains of cannabis to adjust their cannabinoid content. This leads to varying ratios of THC to CBD.

It is true that most strains of marijuana contain a higher concentration of THC, there are certain variations that have a higher level of CBD.

CBD is Just 1 of More than 100 Cannabinoids in the Cannabis Plants

Of the more than 100 cannabinoids that scientists have discovered in cannabis plants, CBD and THC are two of the most significant by concentration. It is no wonder that CBD has attracted the attention of cannabis users.

CBD provides a range of health benefits and has a high safety profile without the ‘THC’ high no matter how high the dose.

Despite the sheer number of identified cannabinoids, the medical and scientific community has mainly focused on studying CBD and THC. A number of studies have indicated that CBD can be a viable alternative to traditional medicine when it comes to certain health problems.

CBD is Not Intoxicating But is Psychoactive

When people say that CBD is non-psychoactive, they generally mean that it doesn’t induce any of the euphoric effects or the ‘high’ that is generally associated with marijuana use. A number of studies have shown that CBD is not intoxicating and is, therefore, generally safe for people of all ages – from children to senior citizens.

While consuming CBD definitely will not get you ‘high’, it is incorrect to say that it does not interfere with brain function. CBD has demonstrated its impact on the human body’s endocannabinoid system which is our main regulatory network. Therefore, CBD is able to impact the regulation of biological processes such as response to stress and fear triggers.

The Source of CBD is Not Important

CBD is CBD. This is irrespective of where the CBD comes from. Some consumers are misinformed that hemp-based CBD is less powerful than the CBD that comes from marijuana. In truth, CBD from hemp and CBD from marijuana are equally potent.

Whether derived from hemp or marijuana, CBD is CBD.

CBD Can Help Improve Cannabinoid Deficiency

Medical researchers that have studied cannabinoids in detail have suggested that plant-based cannabinoids, like CBD, may be able to help people suffering nutritional deficiencies. This is known as Clinical Endocannabinoid Deficiency Syndrome (CECD).

According to this theory, adding CBD oil to a person’s diet can help boost their endocannabinoid system by triggering the body to produce more natural cannabinoids. Therefore, endocannabinoid deficiency is leveled out.

Simply put, this means that Full-Spectrum CBD is considered to be more beneficial compared to CBD Isolate.

CBD Can Be Beneficial Even for Healthy Users

A number of the stories of CBD consumption around the community generally involve a user suffering from some medical condition. In truth, CBD can be beneficial even to healthy users interested in a natural wellness regimen.

The human body’s endocannabinoid system’s relationship with CBD can help maintain a balance and ward off any of the CECD problems mentioned above.
